I have cased some and then some are mine. Our group Queens of pINK have been making cards for our Troops and Veterans. I will post the ones we have made. They deserve more than what we could make. Kansas Corn
One
of our favorite dishes... I HAVE to make it every Thanksgiving and
Christmas and other holidays and in between. lol I have made it for 24
yrs!!
Please go by directions in exact order.
~Kansas Corn~
One can sweet Kernal corn
One can of cream style corn
1 box of Jiffy cornbread mix
3 eggs
1/4 cup sugar
1 stick of Margarine
1/2 green pepper chopped
1/2 onion chopped
8 oz Sour cream
8-12 oz shredded Colby cheese (you can use whatever cheese you have)
Directions: First take your margarine and place in a skillet with green
pepper and onion and saute on low heat til tender, then set aside to
cool.
Place Corn(s), cornbread mix, eggs, and sugar in a bowl and mix, then add cooled down margarine and pepper and onion and stir.
Pour in greased a 9x13 baking dish, and bake for 45 min to an hour at 350,
it will have a cornbread consistency and brown on top then, remove from
oven (not jiggly, I do stick a knife in the center to check it).
Spread sour cream on top and shredded cheese and return to the oven for 10 min take out and serve. Enjoy!!!
*When I need to make two of these, I DO make two separate batches.
It does
take longer when you use a deep dish, I suggest using a flat 9x13 dish.
Hope you love it as much as my family and friends do! Lisa Malone
